Project Overview
At America’s General Contractor, we know that you don’t always need to tear out your entire kitchen to completely transform the space. We recently partnered with a homeowner in Frisco, TX, to breathe new life into their kitchen by upgrading the primary surfaces while preserving their beautiful natural wood cabinetry.
The goal of this project was to modernize the aesthetic, brighten the room, and create a unique focal point that would elevate the entire kitchen design.
The Transformation
We began the project by carefully executing the demolition and removal of the existing gray countertops and the old herringbone backsplash.
To lighten the space and provide a highly durable, low-maintenance prep area, we installed stunning, bright white Quartz countertops across the perimeter and the large central island.
The true standout feature of this remodel is the custom tile work. We installed a clean, bright white backsplash to complement the new Quartz. To break up the white and add a touch of artistic flair, our team used Adessi contemporary porcelain tile to craft a beautiful, geometric mosaic centerpiece directly above the stovetop.

Scope of Work
- Demolition: Safe and clean removal of the existing countertops and backsplash without damaging the existing wood cabinetry.
- Countertop Installation: Precision templating, fabrication, and installation of premium white Quartz countertops, including the island and under-mount sink cutout.
- Backsplash Installation: Expert application of a new white tile backsplash to brighten the perimeter.
- Custom Tile Work: Design and installation of a patterned mosaic tile focal point utilizing Adessi porcelain tile above the stove.
